Iván Trujillo

Born in Ensenada, Baja California, this trumpeter and composer is known for being one of the most versatile musicians in the region, playing classical music, jazz, electronic music and doing free improvisation in orchestras and bands. Currently, he also participates as a guest musician in Nortec Collective Bostich+Fussible, Ensenada Jazz, B-Side Players, the Chamber Orchestra of Ensenada, to name a few.  

Graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Iván Trujillo is the founder and director of the International Improvisation Week– SIDIMPRO and the International Jazz Week– SIJAZZ, the latter takes place in the city of Ensenada, furthermore, he has performed in some of the best festivals around the world, such as Glastonbury, England; Fusion, Germany; the International Cervantino Festival; the National Jazz Festival, Mexico; and the Festival of New Trumpet Music NYC, USA, among others.
