With more than fifty years of experience in theater, film, radio and television, Arturo Beristain is an actor, playwright, acting teacher and director of theater, happening and performance. He has participated in more than 100 plays under the direction of Héctor Mendoza, Ludwik Margules, Luis de Tavira, Soledad Ruiz, José Caballero, José Solé, Manuel Montoro, Rafael Miarnau, Mauricio García Lozano, Enrique Singer, Sandra Félix, Mario Espinosa, Julio Castillo, Jose Luis Cruz, Alejandro Aura and Ignacio García among other prestigious stage directors. He has received many awards for his work, including the Ariel Award (1973), the ACE Award from the Association of Entertainment Writers of New York and the UNESCO International Theatre Institute Award for Career and Dynasty.
