Claire Gibault

She started her career in Opéra National de Lyon before becoming the first woman to direct the Filarmonica della Scala and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. 

She has collaborated as well with Claudio Abbado in Scala de Milán, Vienna Staatsoper and London Royal Opera House Covent Garden. In 2004 they played together in Orquesta Mozart di Bologna. 

Thanks to her work as music director in different schools such as Atelier Lyrique and the Children´s Chorus of Opéra National de Lyon, Orchestre de chambre de Chambéry and Musica per Roma, it has been possible for her to direct opera productions. 

Inspired by her experience with Claudio Abbado, Claire decided to found the Paris Mozart Orchestra, which performs around thirty shows each season.
