Alessandro Quarta

He is a composer and director who has always been interested to recover the renaissance and baroque music for Concerto Romano´s program. He is specialized in music from the XVII and XVIII and for this reason he has been able to perform I different stages and important festivals in Italy, Austria, Germany, BeNeLux, Switzerland and United States. With Concerto Romano, Quarta has recorded three albums for Christophorus, he was awarded with Prix Caecilia in 2015 and Diaposon d´Or award. Since 2007 he is a singing teacher in the Ancient Music International Workshop from Fondazione Italiana per la Musica Antica where he also teaches, since 2013, a Roman oratory class from XVIIth century. Since 2017, he is the artisitic director of Festival internazionale Urbino Musica Antica.
