“Tania Libertad is enshrined as one of the great representatives of the world music, and as one of the best singers in Latin America”.

MILENIO

“No matter if it is an extremely well-known song, she makes sure of treating is as if it were new, fresh from the composer’s inspiration.”

TIME OUT MEXICO

“Just as the pervasive aroma of lemon drop pepper can find a way of reaching whoever is seated in front of the dish, the sounds create that immediate feeling of being somewhere else. Tania Libertad has spearheaded, since 1950, the sound fusion of Perú.”

EL PAÍS

“It’s not true that the world is completely exposed. The world is not only geography with its valleys and mountains, its rivers and its lakes, its plains, the great seas, the cities, and the streets, the desert that gazes at time pass by, the time that gazes at all of us pass by. The world is also the human voices, that miracle of the word that is repeated every day, as a crown of sounds travelling in the space. Many of those voices sing, some of them truly sing. The first time I heard Tania Libertad sing, I had the epiphany of the highness of the emotion to which a naked voice can take us, alone before the world, without any instrument accompanying it. Tania was singing La Paloma of Rafael Alberti capella, and every note caressed a string of my sensibility up to awe.”
