Tania Libertad
Homage to Manzanero
One of the most emblematic female voices of Latin American music will remember Mexican singer and composer Armando Manzanero almost one year after his passing. Tania Libertad, close friend of the Manzanero, is acknowledged for her incredible career of almost seven decades. Tania Libertad dominates genres as diverse as black music and Peruvian creole music, protest songs, the new trova, ballads and boleros. Her passion for the latter helped her consolidate her friendship with Manzanero, considered one of Latin America's most famous and prolific composers, responsible for revolutionizing the bolero. Tonight, she will be joined by the singer and songwriter Joaquina Mertz.
